Working at GLOW Health pushed me out of my comfort zone in the best way. I came in as an introvert and left with real confidence in working with high-end clients, managing teams, and understanding how a business actually operates from the inside. Ms. Adanna placed a strong emphasis on delivering work at the highest possible standard, the mindset was always to go beyond expectations.
Another thing that really stuck with me was the attention to detail that was expected in the way we worked. Ms. Adanna placed a strong emphasis on delivering work at the highest possible standard. The mindset was always that whatever the expectation was, we should aim to go beyond it. I remember situations where we would revisit or refine a project multiple times just to make sure the final result came out right. That attitude towards quality really stayed with me, and it's something I still apply in my work today.
I also learned a lot about integrity and trust. Whether in business or personal interactions, the importance of doing things the right way was always emphasized. Making sure that what you promise is what you deliver builds trust, and trust is what ultimately builds long-term relationships. That value has stayed with me ever since.
Another important part of my experience was the leadership and development opportunities I had while working at GLOW Health. Through GLOW Health's training and development scheme, I participated in a leadership program. At the time, I was leading a team. The program helped me understand how to manage people, communicate effectively, and lead a team in a way that keeps everyone aligned.
During the two years I spent leading the team at GLOW Health, we had a strong level of cohesion, and whenever issues started to arise, I had the skills to address them early before they needed to be escalated to management, something Ms. Adanna most likely never even knew about (and may probably never know) 🙂. That experience really helped build my confidence in leadership and teamwork.
Another unique part of my time at GLOW Health was the opportunity to see how a business grows from the inside. When I first started, the company was still very small, we initially worked from a home office and there were only about three of us. Eventually we moved into a proper office space, but even then the team remained small. Being part of such a small team meant that everyone had to be hands-on. I learned a lot more about business than I expected, how decisions were made, how client relationships were managed, and how different parts of the business came together to deliver results.
That environment also taught me a lot about adaptability and ownership. In a small team, everyone's work directly affects the outcome, so you quickly learn to take responsibility for what you do and to think about the bigger picture. Those experiences helped me develop a strong sense of accountability and problem-solving, which has been very helpful in my career since then.
Today, I'm based in the United Kingdom where I work as Lead Data and Business Analyst for an Integrated Partnership involving organizations such as NHS 111, the South Western Ambulance Service, Avon and Somerset Police, and other partners across the South West of England. The partnership focuses on delivering urgent and emergency support for individuals experiencing a mental health crisis. Alongside my role, I also run an AI and automation agency (www.telaqsolutions.com) where we help small and medium-sized businesses scale by building smarter systems, AI-powered workflows, intelligent automations, and data-driven processes.
When I reflect on my time at GLOW Health, I can confidently say it played a big role in shaping the way I work today. From building confidence and learning how to work with clients, to developing attention to detail, leadership skills, and understanding how businesses operate, those early experiences laid a strong foundation that I still build on today.
